What has happened in this test?
A.  Positive for Group A strep because both the sample and control lines reacted.

Yes, the anti-Group A antibodies in the buffer bound to Group A antigen in the sample and were captured by the anti-Group A antibodies in the sample line.  The control line turned positive, so the test is valid.
