What does this Gram stain show?
C. Gram-positive cocci in pairs.
Yes, these ARE purple round cells, and they ARE predominantly in pairs. Note that the cells are actually a little elongated, rather than perfectly round.
Does this mean the bacteria must be streptococci?
A. Yes.
B. No.
